Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh Friday laid the foundation stone of a planetarium at Shoghi on the outskirts of Shimla to be constructed at the cost of Rs.11 crore, an official said here.
The planetarium will comprise a remote sensing centre which would help study glaciers and rivers, a government spokesperson told IANS.
It would also have a science museum, a biodiversity park and laboratories.
He said this would be one among a few planetariums in the country where the visitors would be able to get themselves acquainted with the planetary system.
