2 Killed as Bomb Explodes at Civil Court in Bihar’s Bhojpur district

Arrah: A bomb exploded in a civil court in Arrah of Bihar’s Bhojpur district. According to TV Reports, 2 person have been killed and several injured in the attack.

Among the dead are one woman and a police constable. According to NDTV, the woman was carrying the bomb and was killed when it exploded. Around 17 People including a lawyer have been injured in the attack. Two criminals managed to escape during the explosion.

The incident took place at around 1a:30AM when a Police Van carrying 37 undertrial prisoners, was entering the court premises. The Female bomb courier was a middle aged woman and was waiting outside the court. When the van entered, she moved slightly and a huge explosion took place. She died on the spot, while a Police Constable Amit Kumar, who was standing beside her received fatal injuries.

Though the intention of Female Bomb Courier is not clear, any terrorist angle has been declined by the Police. A team of NIA has also visited the spot.

According to reports, the female might have come to handover the bomb to some undertrial prisoner, for him to escape, but the bomb fell from her clutch and exploded beforehand.
