Social activist Anna Hazare, whose former acolyte Kiran Bedi has just jumped ship, today refused to comment on the controversies surrounding the Delhi assembly polls.
“I’m capable of fighting alone for the future agitations on Lokpal… I do not wish to speak on Kiran nor Arvind and dirty politics,” the Gandhian Activist replied when asked to comment on Bedi’s joining BJP.
Earlier, Kiran Bedi had revealed that she had tried several times to talk to Anna Hazare over the phone but was not able to do so as he was either “sleeping or taking rest”.
According to a report in India Today, later she sent social activist Vishambhar Choudhary travelled to Ralegan and when he told Hazare that Bedi, was on the line, he refused to speak again. Kiran Bedi also called Hazare’s secretary Dutta Awari, but it was of no avail.
Kiran Bedi, a close associate of Hazare and core team Anna member joined BJP last week and was declared its Chief Ministerial Candidate. She would be contesting polls from Krishnanagar seat.
