At least 10 people have been killed and over 40 left injured when a private bus in which they were travelling fell into a deep gorge in Machlia Ghat in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh.
The disastrous Bus which fell down
According to sources, the Bus fell down in the gorge when the driver lost the control. The Bus overturned and plunged 300 feet down the hill. The incident took place at around 10 PM last night.
Nearly 50 policemen, 30 search lights and a crane was pressed into the service to rescue the passengers. However it was not possible to lift the bus out of gorge due to difficult terrain.
The State Government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh each to the kin of deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured persons.
