Jamshedpur: A 14-year-old girl, Nishu, from Jharkhand built a unique wind-energy based local cooler. A student of Class X, Nishu has won several district and state level awards for her unique model.
She said that the cooler is affordable at rupees 2500 and can be easily availed by poor, especially children, who have to bear the brunt of power outages. In May, she will also visit Japan to participate in Sakura Exchange Programme. Vice-President Hamid Ansari awarded Nishu for her unique contribution in the field of technology.
