The Winner of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 would take away a minimum prize money of $3,975,000 out of the total prize money of $10 Million. The runner up team would get minimum $1.75Mn as the prize money.
ICC has put at stake a prize money of $10 Mn which is 20% more than the prize money of 2011 World Cup.
The Teams which come at 3rd and 4th positions would get $600,000 each. This is decided by the results of Semi-finals.
The teams which get eliminated at quarter finals would get $300,000 each. While, the teams which win group matches would receive $45,000 per match-win as the prize money. The teams which are eliminated at group stage would get a consolation amount of $35,000.
If the winning team has won all the group matches in past, it will be able to bag a total prize money of $4,245,000. Similarly, the runner up team would get $2.48 Mn, if it hasnot lost any group stage match.
