New Delhi: Former Bihar CM and Senior JDU leader Nitish Kumar today accused Bihar Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi of promoting horse trading of Legislators in the State by delaying his appointment as Chief Minister. Kumar, who is in New Delhi, is unhappy over Governor’s decision to allow Floor Test to the incumbent Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi.
Earlier today, Governor asked the Chief Minister Jitan Manjhi to prove his majority in the house on February 20, the opening day of Budget Session of Bihar Legislative Assembly. However, it was not clear if this would be a secret Ballot as demanded by Manjhi.
Nitish Kumar claims support of 130 MLA out of the effective strength of 233. He yesterday met President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapti Bhawan along with the 130 supporting MLAs.
