AAP’s allegations of Horse Trading against BJP were Fake: Ex-MLA Rajesh Garg

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party’s former MLA Rajesh Garg on Tuesday alleged that Arvind Kejriwal had given his consent to the fake calls made to party MLAs in the name of senior BJP leaders Nitin Gadkari and Arun Jaitley offering them money to support the BJP, so as to implicate BJP of horse-trading.

Garg further alleged that the callers offered Rs. 10 crore to the MLAs to extend their support to BJP.

On March 11, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader from Maharashtra Anjali Damania resigned from the party and alleged that Arvind Kejriwal had indulged in horse-trading.

Damania had tweeted: “I quit, I have not come into AAP for this nonsense. I believed him; I backed Arvind for principles not horse-trading.” As per reports, Damania was upset with Kejriwal after it came to the fore that he had allegedly tried to break away Congress MLAs to get the numbers to be back as Delhi CM after the Lok Sabha poll loss.

The allegation was also based on a taped conversation between Rajesh Garg and Kejriwal in July 2014. Garg had also confirmed that he indeed had a conversation with Kejriwal in which the Delhi CM said that he wants to break away Congress MLAs.

On March 13, Congress leader Asif Mohammad Khan had threatened to release the sting conducted by him on AAP leader Sanjay Singh indulging in horse-trading of Congress MLAs. Khan said that there was no bargain or order by the Congress high command regarding the video which he made using his wrist watch. Further, Khan said that the meeting took place at an editor’s house, whose face is visible, but the sting is only on Sanjay Singh.
