Body of Indian Techie murdered in Sydney arrives in Bengalore

Bengaluru: The body of the Indian woman who was murdered in Australia last week arrived in Bengaluru late Saturday night and was handed over to her family.

The body was kept at her residence for the public and family. Petroleum Minister Ananth Kumar, Karnataka Home Minister KJ George and lawmaker Shobha Karandlaje too paid their respects to Prabha. Victim’s brother in law, Prashant Kumar, said Prabha’s last rites would be conducted at her parents’ house in Mangalore city.

Ananth Kumar said on Sunday (March 15) he was hopeful of the case being resolved soon. Prabha was treated for stab wounds from a sharp-edged weapon on her neck on the spot before being taken to hospital where she died. Lawmaker Shobha Karandlaje said she would highlight the issue in the parliament to push for a speedy investigation.
