Christians in India held a candlelight vigil to protest against the alleged rape of a 75-year-old nun.

The incident happened during an armed robbery at a convent in the eastern state of West Bengal.
Archbishop Thomas D’Souza said, “My appeal is that these culprits be brought to book and justice, following whatever process they have of investigations, so that justice is done to this sister, this is my appeal.”
Police have released CCTV footage of some of the suspects in the convent.
They say they’ve detained five of the seven men, but the one suspected of rape is still at large.
In another part of the state, hundreds of students call for those involved to be punished.
“Of course we want criminals to be caught but not arrested, they should be hanged. We want justice, if they get arrested of course they are going to get loose again, that’s for sure.”, one protester said.
In New Delhi, various religious leaders also held prayers for the nun, in a show of solidarity.
Police say she’s been discharged from hospital.
