Sachin’s 200th Test Jersey auctioned for Rs 6 Lakh, Proceeds will go to Charity

Jodhpur: The cricket jersey worn by Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar during his final test match at Mumbai last year has been sold in an auction for Rs 6 Lakh here at Jodhpur.

It was purchased by
Shiv Raj Singh, son of the erstwhile ruler of Jodhpur Gaj Singh II. The Historic Test Match was held in November 2013 at Wankhede Mumbai in November 2013.

There were other items too sold at the auction for e.g a painting by Paresh Maity fetched Rs. 7.5 lakh. Around Rs. 80 Lakh was raised in the auction which will go for charity to Indian Head Injury Foundation.

The Foundation was set up by Singh himself after suffering from such an injury in 2005. It spreads awareness and helps people suffering from such problems.
