A sequel to 2011 Hindi Film Force has been planned, whose shooting would start in September 2015. The Film has been titled Force2.
John Abraham would reprise his role as ACP Yashvardhan. It is not clear who would play the female lead role. The Film would be directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.Force was a 2011 Bollywood action thriller film directed by Nishikanth Kamath, starring John Abraham opposite Genelia D’Souza in lead roles. It was a remake of Gautham Menon’s successful 2003 Tamil film, Kaakha Kaakha Starring Suriya and Jyothika in lead and is about a dutiful cop who chases the capture of a dreaded gangster.
The film had released on 30 September 2011, and received mostly positive reviews upon release, and was a commercial hit at the box office.John Abraham’s performance was also praised by public and critics.
There was an interesting controversy which happened during the shooting of the film in a scene where John and Genelia were being married.
It was reported that the ceremony conducted was so authentic that had they completed the last round they would have actually been man and wife. Again, following the reports of Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia’s marriage plans, the priest insisted that the couple couldn’t get married as Genelia is already married to John.
