Even 7.9 Earthquake failed to damage the sacred Pashupatinath Temple

New Delhi/ Kathmandu: One of the most sacred Hindu temples of Nepal – Pashupatinath Temple located on both banks of Bagmati River in Kathmandu escaped the fury of the powerful earthquake with minor damages.

The famous 5th century Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu survived the massive 7.9 magnitude earthquake that flattened several World Heritages like iconic Dharahara tower and Darbar Square in Nepal.

Nepal has incurred heavy loss of lives as well as property in wake of the massive earthquake that hit the valley on Saturday. Meanwhile, a traumatised US couple, who alongwith others were rescued and brought to India from the earthquake-ravaged Nepal, said they felt sorry for the people of Nepal who have lost their homes and families.

Brockbens, who miraculously survived massive earthquake in Nepal described it as a “traumatic experience”. Emotional Deby and Ken Brockben said they were saved by an Indian national but rued they couldn’t help the victims.
