Kolkata: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s family would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Germany and would ask him to reveal all the secret documents related to the legendary freedom fighter.
Chandra Kumar Bose, the grand-nephew of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on Saturday that he would like to know “why and under what circumstances the privacy of Bose family’s was encroached on”.
The statement came a day after it was revealed that successive Congress governments had snooped on family members of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose for 20 years after independence.
Chandra Bose added that his elder brother who is posted in Germany he has got an invitation to attend Hannover Fair, where he would raise the demand of the Indian people that the present government of India must declassify all secret documents.
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) files reveal unprecedented surveillance on the Bose’s family between 1948 and 1968 and it was reported directly to Nehru. The agency intercepted, copied letters written by family and tailed their visits within country and abroad.
Reacting to the sensational revelation through Intelligence Bureau (IB) reports that former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had spied on freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose’s family for 20 years, BJP spokesperson Vijay Sonkar Shastri said the matter should be investigated deeply and the truth must be brought out in public.
BJP leader Satpal Singh today said that the Congress had always wanted to hide the truth about the death of freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose.
