Patna: Abhishek Gupta, a Super 30 Student from Bihar has been granted admission and Scholarship at prestigious Tokyo University. He has been offered STEM Kikuchi – Tokyo Scholarship Programme, which would incur admission fees, tuition fees and a monthly allowance for 4 years amounting to more than Rs. 30 Lakhs in total.

Abhishek, who has also appeered for JEE Main this year says that he would prefer the course at Tokyo University to that of IIT. He would be pursuing international programme on environmental sciences at College of Arts and Sciences, Komaba, Meguro-ku, Tokyo.

Abhishek comes from a very humble background. His father Dilip Gupta works as a generator operator in Gurgaon.
Commenting on this, Super 30 Founder Anand Kumar said that he was in touch with Tokyo University officials since a long time. In 2013, he was invited to deliver a lecture there. He was assured that deserving Super 30 Students would be offered admission.
