Mumbai: A deadly shootout at Goregaon Film City in Mumbai took place today at 2PM in which a Businessman named Raju Shinde was badly attacked by 2 assailants. The Victim identified as Shrikant alias Raju Shinde, is Security Contractor and runs couple of other business.
The incident took place around 2 pm when Shinde was seated outside his office near the Gate No 2 of Film City, which is situated inside the Aarey Milk Colony. Suddenly two people arrived on a motorbike and fired at least three shots at Raju Shinde from close quarters. Soon after, he was rushed to Lifeline Hospital in Malad and later shifted to the Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle.
The accused fired three rounds of bullet, of which two struck Shinde in the stomach and one struck him in the arm. Security men present on the site tried to chase the shooter, but the shooter managed to escape with another person on the bike. Reportedly, the shooters got off their bike and fled on foot towards the forest.
Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan was merely 20m away from the location where shootout took place. He took twitter to break the news.

Later he corrected his statement.
T 1873 – Correction : in gang shoot out where I was shooting in Film City person shot at is NOT dead . He has been taken to hospital.
According to media reports, the motorcycle of the accused has been seized by the Aarey Colony police. Further details are awaited.
The Victim is also a member of political party Shiv Sena, which has condemned the incident. “Raju is a committed Shiv Sainik. We condemn the attack. Claims of gang war are baseless’ said Arvind Bhosle, a spokesperson for the Shiv Sena.
Apart from owning a Security firm, Shinde also operates a cable television network, construction, supplying timber to film sets and into assorted social activities.
