Gayatri from Delhi tops CBSE Class 12 Board Exam by scoring 99.2 percent

M Gayatri from New Delhi has emerged as All India Topper of CBSE Class 12 Board Examination 2015 by scoring 496 out of 500 marks (99.2 percent). The Results were announced today and girls again outshined boys in the examination.

The Results can be viewed online on CBSE’s Results website cbseresults.nic.in. It can also be obtained through the interactive voice response system (IVRS) of CBSE by calling the number +91-11-24300699 and +91-11-28127030. The IVRS charges are 30 paise per minute.

According to reports, the 2nd rank was bagged by Maithili Mishra of Noida who scored 495 out of 500 (99%). CBSE does not officially announce the names of Toppers.

The overall pass percentage of Students in the Class 12 Board Examination was 82%, a little lower than that in 2014 (82.70%). Among Girls the pass percentage was 87.57%, while among boys the pass percentage was much lower 77.77%.

Around 10 Lakh student had appeared for CBSE Class 12 Examination out of which 6 Lakh were boys and 4 Lakh were girls.

Out of all regions of CBSE, Trivandrum region recorded the pass percentage of 95.41% which is highest in the country.
