Indian Army participates for 1st time in World War 2 Victory Parade in Russia

Moscow: An Indian military contingent participated in the Victory Day celebrations held in Russia’s capital Moscow for the first time.

The contingent was a big attraction among nearly a dozen foreign army contingents and thousands of Russia’s own soldiers for elegantly displaying their military ceremonial drills.

The contingent, awarded best during Republic Day parade in India, participated on a special call by the Russian government with 10 other countries. The Victory Day parade was viewed by President Pranab Mukherjee on an invitation by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
