Intense Heatwaves pushing Indian Tourists into Himalayan Mountains

Shimla/ Srinagar, May 30 (ANI): As heat wave singes India, people are thronging hill stations to escape the scorching heat. Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh state, is witnessing a huge tourist inflow from the plains of the country.

One of the important attractions is a toy train which runs between Shimla and Kalka on narrow gauge rail line passing through majestic hills and tunnels.

The heritage train service that offers the scenic view of some of the best spots in Shimla and Kalka is a big hit with tourists.To cope with the huge rush, authorities have increased the train service this year. People are also rushing to Jammu and Kashmir, which has seen a sharp increase in tourists after militant violence ebbed.

The pleasant climate of Srinagar is a welcome change for the tourists from different parts of India. The beautiful gardens and lakes and houseboats charm the tourists.

A tourist from England, Karen John, who visited the botanical garden, was all praise for the authorities for maintaining the gardens.
