Moga: Police on Friday arrested main accused in the gangrape of a young woman in Moga district of Punjab. Four other accused have been identified. A 20-year-old girl had lodged a police complaint on Thursday saying that she was raped by her friend’s husband and nine others in a car.
However, police said it was yet to be ascertained if the girl was raped or sexually assaulted. Meanwhile, four people have been arrested for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl and her mother on board a moving bus, forcing the duo to jump off the moving vehicle. While the girl succumbed to her injuries, the mother suffered severe injuries.
These incidents came as a harsh reminder of the horrendous 2012 gang rape of a 23-year-old student on board a moving bus.
