Muslim cleric sends relief materials to quake-hit Nepal from Lucknow

Lucknow: A truckload of relief material for Nepal earthquake victims left Lucknow city on Sunday. Muslim Cleric Mohammad Khalid Rasheed Firangi flagged off the truck containing food material like rice, pulses, noodles, everyday essentials including oil, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, medicines and tents among other things.

On April 25, a devastating earthquake killed more than 7,900 people and flattened towns and villages across central Nepal. Nearly 18,000 people were injured, and more than 541,000 buildings damaged.
