Kim later showed off his aviation skills, visiting a tarmac where he took a small plane for a spin in front of his enthusiastic supporters.
The video comes ahead of what was supposed to be a visit to Moscow for the young leader, a trip reportedly designed to chip away at his country’s international isolation and improve his image.
But state media says another official will go instead. The reason has not been made public.
