New Delhi: In a landmark verdict, the Supreme Court today gave directions that use of image of any political leader or government functionaries should be restricted in government advertisements.
The SC has said that only photos of President, PM, CJI & departed National leaders, like Mahatma Gandhi can be used in government advertisements.
Lawyer Prashant Bhushan said that advertisements depicting political benefits shall be removed with immediate effect.
