Patna: RJD leadership on Thursday expelled its MP Pappu Yadav from the party for six years on grounds of anti-party activities by him.
RJD leader Jay Prakash Narayan Yadav said that RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has expelled him as he continued with his anti-party activities even after telling him many times.
He added that Pappu Yadav should contest the next elections independently if he thinks he is capable enough individually.
RJD Spokesperson Shakti Singh said that Yadav’s absence will not make any difference in the party and RJD will stand as strong as united as ever.
Pappu Yadav was vocal in supporting Jitan Ram Manjhi at the time when there was a power tussle between Manjhi and JDU-RJD coalition. He even urged Lalu Yadav to support Manjhi during the Vote of Confidence in Legislative Assembly in February. He was served a show cause notice last month by the party
