Grammy-winning R & B singer Chris Brown has been accused of punching a man with whom he was playing basketball at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
In 2009 Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting the singer Rihanna, then his girlfriend, on the eve of the Grammy Awards
Officers say the alleged victim underwent treatment in hospital from where he reported the incident. They said Brown had left the scene by the time investigators arrived. Neither Brown’s attorney nor his publicist were immediately available for comment.
In 2009 Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting the singer Rihanna, then his girlfriend, on the eve of the Grammy Awards. His probation was revoked in 2013 when he was accused of punching a man trying to get a photo of him.
The following year he was jailed for three months for a probation breach when he was kicked out of a court-ordered rehab programme. He’s managed to bounce back professionally despite his brushes with the law. He launched a live-performance nightclub residency in Las Vegas headlining a show after the weekend’s high-profile Mayweather-Pacquiao boxing match.
