Bihar Government has planned to setup a Call Center for calling Fire Tender Services from across the state. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has directed the State Authorities to establish the Call Center while reviewing the works done by State Fire Services Department.
Anyone can call the Toll Free number to inform the Centralized Call Center about the Fire Incidents which would be timely relayed to nearest fire station.
“We need to establish a centralised call centre to relay information about fire incidents not only to the fire stations, but also the nearest primary health centres and police stations. This will help expedite arrival of ambulances and cut down on loss of lives and property,” Kumar said.
The State Government is also planing to modernize the Fire Brigade Services. It has recently approved 17 fire stations at district level and 11 at subdivision level across the state. It is also looking forward to purchase modern mist-technology-based fire tenders for all fire stations. Till now 155 Mist Based Fire Tenders are available with Bihar Police and 240 more are being procured.
