Geelani says more Pakistani flags will be hoisted in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, June 01 (ANI): Hardline Hurriyat Conference Leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani said that Pakistani flags “would continue to be hoisted” in Kashmir.

Geelani said this days after Home Minister Rajnath Singh warned of strict action against those indulging in such acts. He also condemned the recent attacks on the BSNL office in Sopore, and asked United Jihad Council Chief Syed Salahuddin to probe the incidents.

The separatist leaders also maintained that Pakistan is India’s benefactor and is supporting the right of self determination to Kashmir and that people love the neighbouring nation.

Pakistan flags have appeared in many separatist rallies since 1990, there is a spurt recently. The police have arrested four persons in south Kashmir after Pakistan flags were hoisted in a rally organised by Hurriyat leader Shabir Ahmad Shah.
