CM Nitish Kumar inaugurates Bihar’s longest Flyover in Patna

Patna: Bihar’s longest Flyover Bridge between Sheikhpura Mor and Jagdeo Path Mor in Patna was opened to public on Tuesday. The 2.9 km long bridge was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. While inaugurating, Kumar stressed that the flyover would shield people from the daily trauma of traffic jams.

The construction of the flyover was overseen by Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited at a cost of Rs. 300 Crores.

The flyover would bring respite of relief for lakhs of commuters who get stuck in traffic jam on the segment of Bailey Road along Raja Baazar. The densely populated area of Raja Bazar would be most benefited out of it. Sometimes the ugly traffic jam blocked all vehicle movements for more than 2-3 hours. During the office hours, it used to be a routine affair.

The flyover has parking lots for four-wheelers and two-wheelers under it, which is open for use by public on payment of Rs 20 and Rs 5 respectively for every three hours.

Bihar’s Road Construction Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh was also present during the inauguration of flyover near Jagdeo Path.
