Bihar Assembly Polls Date announced, 12th October to 5th November

The Election Commission of India has issued notification regarding Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections 2015. The Polls would be held starting from October 12 to November 5 in 5 phases. The Polls would be held on October 12th, October 16, October 28, November 1 and November 5th.

The Model Code of Conduct has come into effect immediately. The Election process would be held for 243 constituencies out of which 38 are reserved for Scheduled Caste and 2 are reserved for Scheduled Tribe.

According to the Election Commission Records, the number of Voters Registered is 66826658. There would be 62779 polling stations for the 5 phase elections. Each polling station would have minimum facilities for the voters including drinking water, toilet, shed etc.

The Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) this time will carry the photos of the candidates also, apart from NOTA option.
