After working their charm at the BMW India Bridal Fashion Week, in New Delhi, designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla gave an exuberant ode to Retro Chic, by presenting their latest collection Jawani Jaaneman at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week.

The couturiers gave the perfect start to the prestigious fashion week and sent the audience down memory lane with their glamorous yet classy collection, which ensnared the spirit of hippy gone couture.
Talking about their latest collection, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla said, “JAWANI JAANEMAN, which we opened Lakme Fashion Week with, is absolute fun, frolic and fantasy. It is both a yearning for yesterday, brim-full with nostalgia, and a glimpse into the future of AJSK. Think hippie gone outré chic. Think shiny disco balls. Kaftans gone couture and saris for the 21st century diva. Think glamour and gyration, dance and abandon. It’s a celebration that takes us back to the past. Because Classic is always Current. We look forward to all of you coming along for the ride”
The ramp was transformed into a disco from the 70s, with shiny disco balls, gleaming floor and retro songs, which made the whole ambience very magical. From capes to gowns and from saris to kaftaan, the collection is made for the global diva, who is a born traveller and is ready to ‘Let it all go and Let it all out’.
The designer duo also hosted a grand post-show party for their friends and clients at the Bombay Canteen. Present were Jaya Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Twinkle Khanna, Sussanne Khan, Sonali Bendre, Anu Dewan, Dolly Sidhwani, Bhavana Pandey, Kaykashan Patel and Bhumi Pednekar among others.
