Fate of 776 Candidates sealed in EVM Box during 4th Phase of Bihar Elections

The Fate of as many as 776 Candidates have been sealed during the 4th Phase of Bihar Assembly Elections which was held yesterday. The 4th Phase consisted mainly of Gopalganj, Siwan, West Champaran, East Champaran, Sheohar, Sitamarhi and Muzaffarpur districts.

The Polling was peaceful except for minor incidents in Seohar and Siwan districts. In one of the incidences, an FIR was lodged against HAM Candidate Lovely Anand for disrupting the poll process. For Security, Election commission had deployed 5 helicopters, drones and 1163 companies of Paramilitary forces.

Once again, women voters outnumbered their male counterparts with turnout of 60.40% while males turnout was only 54.20%.

The overall voting percentage was 57.59% which was 1% increase from the 1st poll phase. The turnout was highest in West Champaran with 59.17% voting, while lowest at Siwan with 54.11% voting. With this, the polling is complete in 186 out of 243 assembly seats.

Many prominent politicians were in fray during this phase of elections, including Ramai Ram (Bochaha). Shahid Ali Khan (Sursand), Mahachandra Prasad Singh (Hahua), Ranju Geeta (Bajpatti), Manoj Kushwaha (Kurhani), Purnmasi Ram (Valmikinagar).
