Grand alliance meets EC, files complaint against BJP’s ad on cow

New Delhi, Nov 04 (ANI): Accusing the BJP of trying to give communal colour to the Bihar Assembly polls, grand alliance on Wednesday visited the Election Commission office and filed complaint against BJP’s recent advertisement in newspapers featuring a woman hugging a cow. Talking to mediapersons after meeting the EC, JD (U) leader KC Tyagi said that such advertisements by the BJP is a result of the leniency of the EC. He added that the commercial is a violation of the model code of conduct and that no party can use religion in order to garner votes. Tyagi further said that the grand alliance will approach his Excellency the President of India to report over the issue if nothing substantial is done by the poll panel.
