Mahagathbandhan supporters in celebratory mode in Bihar

New Delhi/Patna, Nov 08 (ANI): Leaders and supporters of the Mahagathbandhan, which includes the Rashtriya Janata Dal, the Congress and the Janata Dal-United, were celebrating and dancing on Sunday in Patna, as early trends indicated that the alliance was possibly heading for a landslide victory in the five-phased Bihar State Assembly elections. Meanwhile, celebrations commenced outside the Patna residence of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday morning. Lalu’s daughter Misa Bharti expressed her delight with the early trends tilting in favour of the grand alliance and predicted that the Mahagathbandhan will cross 140 seat mark. RJD workers were seen to be in a festive mood as they distributed sweets and applied colour on each other. At the time of the filing of this report, the JD-U plus allies was leading in 158 seats, while the BJP-led NDA was leading in 75 and others were leading in ten seats. Janata Dal-United leader KC Tyagi said that it is an end of NDA’s ‘ache din’. Congress leader Jaiveer Shergil said that by the end of the vote counting, the Mahagathbandhan would be in the position to form government in Bihar. Meanwhile, Hindustani Awam Morcha founder Jitan Ram Manjhi was trailing in Makhdumpur seat by 278 votes after the first round of counting
