New Delhi,Dec04 (ANI): In order to curb the pollution level in Delhi state, the Delhi Government has decided to shutdown the NTPC Badarpur Power Plant. The Delhi Government on Friday announced a series of measures to curb the alarming rise in pollution in the national capital, including a proposal to close down the Badarpur Power plant which runs on coal.
Delhi Chief Secretary K.K. Sharma said that dust is a major contributor in worsening the air quality in the city Sharma said that the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal has given instructions to the the PWD Department and it will no sooner start vacuum cleaning of roads in Delhi from 1st April 2016.
The Chief Secretary mentione that the time to allow movement of trucks in the city will also be shifted from 9 pm-11pm.
