India rejects Pakistan’s ‘baseless allegations’: MEA on espionage charges

New Delhi, Nov 03 (ANI): India on Thursday rejected the allegations of espionage and terrorism against eight of its diplomats by Pakistan amid tensions between the countries, following days of skirmishes on the border. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Vikas Swarup said that the government strongly protests the manner in which names of some Indian officials were published. Pakistan has accused the Indian officials of fuelling instability in Pakistan’s Sindh and Baluchistan provinces, as well as sabotaging the $46-billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), involving transport and energy infrastructure projects to link China with Pakistan’s coast on the Arabian Sea.
