AgustaWestland chopper scam: Former Air force chief SP Tyagi gets bail

New Delhi, Dec 26 (ANI): Former India Air Force chief S P Tyagi was granted bail in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scam case by a special court in New Delhi on Monday. Special CBI Judge Arvind Kumar granted him relief on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh and one surety of like amount. The court, however, imposed certain conditions on the accused and asked him not to try to influence the witnesses and hamper the probe. The bail applications of other two accused – Tyagi’s cousin Sanjeev Tyagi and lawyer Gautam Khaitan – are pending before the court, which said it will decide both the pleas on January 4. Till then, the two will continue to be in judicial custody.
