Railways introduces special AC Trains for Bihar for 2017 Holi and Summer Holidays

Patna: Given the potentially huge crowd during Holi festival and Summer holidays, Indian Railways has decided to operate two new Air-conditioned special trains connecting New Delhi with Barauni and Darbhanga in Bihar. Ticket Booking in both these trains have already started.

In this regard, the East Central Railway’s chief public relations officer Arvind Kumar Rajak said that Train No. 04404-03 would connect New Delhi with Barauni starting from 3rd March to 1st July twice a week. Train 04404 would depart at 19:25 pm on Friday and Tuesday from New Delhi. In return, Train 04403 would leave Barauni on Saturday and Wednesday at 21:35 pm and arrive New Delhi at 22:10PM, next day. The train would halt at Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Chapra, Siwan, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Basti, Gonda, Barabanki, Lucknow, Bareilly and Moradabad before reaching New Delhi.

The other Holiday special train 04406-05 would connect Delhi to Darbhanga. It will operate from March 2 to June 30 twice a week. Train number 04406 would leave Delhi at 11:45 am Monday and Thursday and arriving Darbhanga at 9:30 am the next day. It would return back on Friday and Tuesday at 12:00 pm and arrive Delhi the next day at 12:40PM.

Both these trains would have Five 2AC coaches, Eight 3AC coaches, 2 SLR coaches and a Pantry Car.
