Nagpur (Maharashtra), Mar 28 (ANI): A colourful celebration of the Gudi Padwa festival was witnessed in Nagpur on Tuesday. The day marks the commencement of Chaitra month of the Hindu calendar. Today, the devotees worship Lord Brahma and then hoist a Gudi (doll) to invoke Lord Vishnu to shower his blessings. The Maharashtrian festival is known as Yugadi in Karnataka, Ugadi in Telangana and as Navreh by Kashmiri Pandits while Sindhis call it Cheti Chand.
