Indian Army conducts youth festival ‘Jashn-E-Baramulla’

Baramulla (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 27 (ANI): Indian Army’s two-day youth festival ‘Jashn-E-Baramulla’ was organised at the famous Showkat Ali Stadium of Government Degree College, Baramulla in North Kashmir.The festival began with 5 kilometer ‘Aman Ki Daud’ in which around 230 Kashmiri youth participated.The festival highlighted the rich culture and tradition of Kashmir, showcasing the potential of the Kashmir youth. What is more, a huge unexpected crowd gathered to see the festival.To attract the crowd, the festival had also added food corners, carnival games, lucky draw and sufi and cultural music performances. The event was made even more glamorous with presence of actor Dia Mirza who spoke about women empowerment and cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin who was there to encourage the youth.To attract more youth to the festival, special provisions were taken to promote jobs, with booths set up for job placements of different companies, with walk in interviews also being conducted.A total of 343 Kashmiri youth were employed during this event.
