Tremors in Congress Party, Amrish Singh joins BJP ahead of MCD Polls

New Delhi, April 03 (ANI): Former Congress leader and Deputy Speaker of Delhi Assembly Amrish Singh Gautam left the Congress Party and Joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday. Singh’s decision came ahead of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections that are starting from April 23. Singh is considered as a very influential leader in different areas across Delhi, and his involvement in the upcoming civic polls will boost BJPs chances. When asked about his reason of quitting the party, he said that the workers who have worked for the party were not getting enough respect and had to bow down in front of the senior leaders.
