New Delhi/Mumbai, Apr 04 (ANI): Devotees thronged various temples and offered their prayers to celebrate Navratri on early Tuesday morning. Chaitra Navratri mark the first day of Hindu Luni-Solar calendar. The nine-day-long Hindu festival concludes on April 5 with Ram Navami, the birth celebration of Lord Ram. Lord Ram, son of king Dashrath and his wife kaushalya, is considered to be born during the Madhyahna period in Ayodhya. Each year, the festival is marked with rituals such as religious hymns, special puja and aarti by households within their homes and priests in temples. At many places, devotees take out religious procession of Lord Ram, his wife Sita, brother Laxman along with Lord Hanuman to mark the day.
