Mumbai (Maharashtra), June 24 (ANI): Maharashtra Government on Saturday announced loan waiver of Rs. 34,000 Crores for the state farmers. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the decision under the name of ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Krishi Samman Yojana’ will benefit approx 89 Lakh farmers across the state. Fadnavis stated that farmers with loans upto Rs. 1.5 Lakh will be relieved completely while farmers who have paid back their loans regularly, will be given some credit amount. While addressing a press conference, the chief minister said his government will also discuss the decision with banks to ensure its implementation.
