Darjeeling (West Bengal), June 26 (ANI): A group of Gorkha ex-servicemen took out a silent protest rally demanding formation of separate state of ‘Gorkhaland,’ in Darjeeling on Monday. Carrying placards and tricolour, members from the ‘Bharatiya Gorkha Bhutpurav Sainik Kalyan Sangathan’ walked down the streets of hill down demonstrating their agony against the prevailing situation. One of the protestor said that the demand for ‘Gorkhaland’ is ‘constitutional.’ Today, the tourist destination is witnessing relaxation in the indefinite strike called by Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM). The organisation, which was also protesting against the alleged imposition of Bengali in schools, had yesterday announced a 12-hour-long relaxation in wake of Eid-al-Fitr.
