The most eminent and oldest attar market named, ‘attar gali’ is situated in Aurangabad city of Maharashtra. As soon as the Ramadan season starts, attar business sees a surge in the sales, as believers throng this market to buy. Attar sellers make huge profits by the time Eid arrives. Now a days, spray perfumes are getting famous so to compete with this the attar manufacturers also started experimenting making alcohol free spray attar that can be used while offering Namaz. From all over the world the different types of attar and fragrances are imported here among which Jannat-ul-Firdaus, Mogra, sandalwood and spray attar are highly in demand. A few shopkeepers in the market shared wonderful information about this unique attar selling business which they have inherited from their ancestors.
