U.S. designates Hizbul chief Syed Salahuddin as ‘global terrorist’, India welcomes decision

Washington D.C., June 27 (ANI): A few hours before Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets President Donald Trump at the White House, the US Department of State has declared Syed Salahuddin, chief of the terrorist group Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, a Specially Designated Global Terrorist. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Gopal Bagley welcomed the move of the United States and said it does vindicate India’s long standing position that cross border terrorism has been behind disturbances created in Kashmir.
