Amarnath Yatra proves boon for pony walas as devotees throng holy cave

Sonmarg (J&K), July 21 (ANI): The Amaranth Yatra has brought relief to the Pony walas as their income increased promptly in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sonmarg. During the annual pilgrimage, people with different businesses, including tent owners, taxi operators, and tea sellers earn double or sometimes triple than their usual earnings. Every year lakhs of pilgrims come from different parts of the country to visit the holly cave of Amaranth and with the help of Pony Walas they make their journey easy and comfortable. People of Kashmir valley welcome pilgrims with full sprit. Government is allowing pony walas to charge around Rs. 3200 per head, to perform the holy yatra.
