Bihar flood fury continues: Youth washed away, local MP threatens administration

Darbhanga (Bihar), Aug 23 (ANI): Bihar flood fury continues to wreak havoc on thousands of people who are left marooned after the cascade. While thousands of people have been displaced and await relief material, several have been killed so far. In a recent incident, a youth, Akshay Kumar Mishra, in Darbhanga was washed away in water stream while taking selfie with flood. Akshay’s brother informed that his brother slipped and drowned in the water. Troubled by the flood fury and lack of help from government, Darbahnga MP Kirti Azad has threatened the district administration. Azad said if administration fails to help people, he will have to make them sit on a donkey. Various parts of Bihar, Assam and West Bengal have submerged in water after incessant rains and heavy water flow from Nepal. While rescue and relief teams are underway, they still seem to be out of people’s reach.
