Midnapur (West Bengal), Aug 21 (ANI): A woman named Monika Pal from West Bengal’s Midnapore has been making Durga idols for livelihood for the last 22 years. Initially, she started idol making to support her husband’s cancer treatment in 1996, but after he died, she started it as a full-time work to support her family. Monika has won many prizes for making the best Durga idols in the Midnapore area. She makes around 15 to 16 idols every year.
