Opposition parties criticize Yogi Adityanath over ‘grand Diwali celebrations’ in Ayodhya

New Delhi, Oct 19 (ANI): After Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated Diwali at a grand level which included the lighting of 1.75 lakh diyas in one go, several opposition parties have criticized the BJP leader for spending unnecessarily. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) General Secretary Tariq Anwar said that CM Yogi should spend from his own pocket rather than spending money of the state’s people for his ‘personal faith’. Meanwhile, Janata Dal-United leader Ali Anwar slammed the event and said the Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to cover its failures by organising such large-scale events. Congress leader also slammed the U.P. CM and said if it is Yogi’s personal faith than he should celebrate it in private and not as the Chief Minister.
