Phase of development ushers in border villages of Rajouri

Rajouri (J&K), Oct 02 (ANI): The villages in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, which routinely get affected during exchange of fire between Indian and Pakistani troops, are now getting well-laid roads, bunkers and other basic infrastructure under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP). One such village is Sasalkote village where authorities have completed 82 foot-over-bridges, apart from constructing well-laid roads, providing relief to senior citizens and schoolchildren. Apart from constructing basic infrastructure, these villages are also getting bunkers to protect villagers from mortal shells and bullets. The state government, reportedly, is constructing 100 bunkers in these villages and each of them can accommodate at least 1,200 people.
